As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), you will play a key role in supporting quality and food safety initiatives at our highly technical Alta-Rounds coffee manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Working closely with Quality and R&D teams, this role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems, tools, and documentation that ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will represent the Quality team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, collecting and analyzing performance data to support the site’s quality programs. This role is responsible for maintaining standardized documentation, supporting compliance with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements, and driving improvements across key quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, calculate, audit, and report key quality data to ensure compliance with customer requirements and product specifications.
Record production data in appropriate databases for regulatory, customer, and GFSI compliance.
Analyze data and prepare weekly and monthly reports, including trend analysis.
Support traceability exercises, recalls, and stock recovery activities by maintaining proper documentation.
Lead product trials and ensure new products meet manufacturing and quality standards.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to quality and food safety performance.
Analyze multiple data streams to identify trends and improvement opportunities for Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
Communicate findings and updates to relevant stakeholders, including open issues and improvement opportunities related to data collection processes.
Ensure records and documentation meet all site certification and regulatory requirements.
Maintain the manufacturing site’s standards documentation library to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
Support change control processes for document updates, ensuring proper distribution of approved documents and removal of obsolete versions.
Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate, approve, and document changes to policies, processes, and product standards.
Lead or support projects aimed at improving quality scorecard metrics.
Promote adherence to Keurig Dr Pepper quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Support a collaborative team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve quality processes and prevent issues.
Report food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance concerns to appropriate plant or division leadership.
Ensure production of safe, wholesome, and high-quality products in accordance with company standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Total Rewards:
- Targeted annual compensation range of $75,000–$85,000.
- This is a salaried, exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5+ years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Experience supporting or leading technical teams or cross-functional quality initiatives.
Knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory standards (GFSI experience preferred).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Effective problem-solving abilities using quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, root cause analysis).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to support safety standards, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing best practices.
ASQ Quality certifications are a plus.
