The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting a full beverage distribution center.  Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location.  The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of High Performance Teams.  All associates at the Spartanburg site will have accountability to both a functional business unit in addition to the full site operation.  The site will run on first-in-class enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.

SUMMARY: 

As a Maintenance Inventory Specialist you will coordinate inventory processes to ensure accuracy to tactically support Keurig Dr Pepper maintenance and, ultimately, all of operations.  You will also assist in the rebuilding of mechanical components and other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Crew Leader. You will be an active participant in KDP’s TPM structure, working on a team to drive critical improvements. You must be able to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division associates with authority to initiate action. This role assists and supports maintenance and engineering in various capacities, including rebuilding machine assemblies, spare rebuilds, emergency maintenance and engineering projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, update, and manage maintenance inventory data in SAP MRP systems.
  • Review minimum/maximum levels and generate purchase requisitions as necessary.
  • Perform weekly cycle count activities and report results.
  • Assist in identification and sign-out of parts in support of maintenance technicians.
  • Develop resources to support preventative maintenance activities.
  • Handle shipping and receiving needs of maintenance department
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between KDP sites; track and report off-site inventory items and consignment items
  • Work with current and potential supply vendors
  • Coordinate with Finance and Inventory Control to ensure regulatory compliance (i.e. SOX).
  • Using  SAP, and MS Excel, assist in the systematic reporting and review of existing inventory unneeded, non-economical items, or old versus new (e.g., obsolete, low usage, expensive, locally available, etc.). In particular, evaluate parts usage to identify repetitive repairs and part failures.
  • Organize inventory locations to enhance convenience for maintenance techs.

Total Rewards:
  •  Hourly Rate:  $26.84/hr

Requirements:
  • Two years working in a similar role or applicable experience.
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computers, including, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Two years of experience with SAP or similar CMMS program
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally with the ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 1,500 pounds using supplied equipment.
