The Keurig Dr Pepper Company has an opportunity for a Director of Sales, on our Dollar General team leading our fast-growing Direct-to-Store business including direct ownership of our Carbonated Soft Drink portfolio. This position will serve as the primary interface with Dollar General and will be accountable for building strategic relationships that deliver consistent and sustainable category-leading growth, revenue, and profit.
This role requires high customer connectivity and strategic relationship management. The right candidate is a strategic thinker, disciplined planner and reliable implementer with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and solve complex customer challenges.
Location: Position will be located in Nashville, TN with limited travel (approximately 15-20%)
Core Responsibilities & Outcomes:
- Deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with operational excellence, measured by growth of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Develop multi-level customer relationships to strengthen category-leading growth plans, selling incremental distribution, merchandising and winning sales programs.
- Partner with cross-functional team (Marketing, Sales, Category and Product Teams) to build strategic long-term business plans rooted in consumer and shopping habits while maximizing our ever-expanding portfolio.
- Enroll our vast bottling network, building confidence in our Dollar General plans, improving execution and fueling investment for growth.
Role Scope:
- Lead and develop a high-performance team of direct and in-direct team members.
- Present and inspire a clear, executable and measurable plan with our stakeholders (Dollar General, Internal Leadership, and Bottling Network).
- Track and adjust plans as needed to ensure we deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), while building for the future.
- Build the capabilities of the team around you with continuous process improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10 years of proven success leading a sales team within Consumer-Packaged Goods industry and recent ownership of a top national retailer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; MBA a plus
- Results-Driven: Consistently demonstrates high level of initiative and accountability for their business.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and influence comprehensive business strategies.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
- P&L Management: Robust financial acumen and data-driven decision making.
- Customer Management: Build relationships, inspire, influence and align. Negotiate when necessary.
- Presentation Skills: Effectively communicate to various stakeholders to enroll support.
