Job Overview:

Location: Mississauga

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the effective development and implementation of the customer business plans for Walmart. The KAM (Key Account Manager) will also be tasked with developing a variety of pricing agreements, promotional cadences and marketing strategies for the account. The person will report to the Customer Team Lead / National Key Account Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the delivery of detailed action plans for attaining sales and profit targets based on a solid understanding of customer needs and business opportunities;
  • Lead and manage the replenishment and demand planning functionalities; ensure productive and efficient inventory management internally by monitoring inventory health, minimizing aged inventory, and supporting optimized product flow across the supply chain.
  • Launch new products by introducing innovation and brand strategy plans through in person line reviews at the Walmart head office within the timelines that the merchant team communicates.
  • Effectively manage budgets based on corporate objectives and have strong skills set to deliver positive forecast accuracies in the year to improve productions efficacies.
  • Work closely with the Commercialization and Revenue Growth Management team on pricing strategies
  • Negotiate programs and agreements and help manage in-store planograms;
  • Prepare presentations, business reviews, and sales reports that identify areas for improvement and business opportunities;
  • Communicate with the Field Sales team and the sales department to coordinate promotions at points of sale and monthly priorities
  • Knowledge of Nielsen data, Gap Dash and Retail Link are essential for this role to drive an in-depth understanding of the market and suggest avenues for growth to customers;
  • Strong skills set in excel for internal reporting, forecasting and analytics
  • Work closely with internal cross functional (Partner/Brand/Omni) teams in aligning and executing promotional plans and strategies.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: CAD $ 86,200 - $115,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors.
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility. Benefits, subject to eligibility: medical, dental, disability, life insurance, paid time off (including vacation and personal time), RRSP with company match, tuition reimbursement, employee and family assistance program. 

Requirements:
  • Strong experience in replenishment, supply chain planning, forecasting, or customer supply chain operations.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale retail or key account relationships.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate large and complex data sets into actionable business insights.
  • Experience managing promotional planning, inventory allocation, and KPI performance.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce fulfillment operations including 2PL, 3PL, and DSV models.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting/analytics tools preferred.
