Job Overview:

The Senior Obsolescence Analyst is responsible for leading strategic initiatives to identify, mitigate, and manage obsolescence risks across the supply chain. This role combines advanced analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive planning to ensure continuity of supply and minimize financial impact from obsolete inventory. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

What you will do: 

Obsolescence Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive obsolescence management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead predictive analysis to identify obsolescence risks and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor obsolescence trends and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices

Inventory & Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee identification and disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce excess stock and improve inventory turnover.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with supply planning, raw material planning, demand planning, brand, commercial, and finance to review obsolescence risks and action plans.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for obsolescence management across the organization.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on obsolescence metrics and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of obsolete products and related financial impact.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements for obsolescence management.
  • Support audits and provide documentation for compliance purposes.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $76,000 - $100,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply-Chain Management or related field preferred, MBA desirable
  • 5-10 years supply chain experience and experience with SAP or similar ERP system required
  • Experience in Consumer Products Goods
  • Experience in supply planning or analytics
  • Proficiency in common knowledge-worker tools (Windows, Office Professional, Visio, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in a senior role preferred
  • Providing strategic updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and training junior analysts
