Job Overview:

The Packaging Stewardship Analyst will support Global Coffee Company’s North American packaging stewardship and extended producer responsibility (EPR) obligations across the United States and Canada. This role is highly analytical and execution-oriented, providing data management, reporting, and operational support for EPR programs, recycled content compliance, and packaging regulatory requirements. The analyst will serve as a key interface between GCC internal teams, EPR program administrators, and GCC centralized data services team, ensuring accurate, timely, and auditable data submissions while supporting broader packaging stewardship strategy.

Key Responsibilities

EPR & Regulatory Data Management

  • Support U.S. and Canadian EPR reporting obligations, including material scope determination, data validation, and submission support across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Manage and maintain packaging datasets required for EPR, recycled content, and stewardship reporting, ensuring alignment with evolving state and provincial requirements.
  • Interface directly with EPR reporting portals and systems (e.g., PRO platforms, state or provincial reporting tools), including uploads, validations, corrections, and reconciliation activities.
  • Track regulatory changes that impact data structure, reporting cadence, or material definitions and support implementation within GCC systems.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile, analyze, and QA packaging data across SKUs, materials, and formats to support eco-modulation and source reduction initiatives
  • Develop EPR fee modeling and dashboards to support operating unit decision making
  • Support development and maintenance of dashboards, trackers, and recurring reports used by Packaging Stewardship, Corporate Affairs, Finance, and Legal.

Systems & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a key user and liaison to Global Coffee Company centralized reporting data administrators.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Packaging R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, IT/Data, and Sustainability.
  • Support integration of new brands, SKUs, or portfolio changes into stewardship and EPR reporting workflows. Assist with governance, documentation, and audit readiness related to packaging data and regulatory submissions.
  • Support invoicing review, payment tracking, and reconciliation related to EPR fees and stewardship obligations.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and data sources used in regulatory submissions.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support for stewardship initiatives, compliance reviews, or external stakeholder inquiries.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $62,500 - $85,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Experience: 4-8 years in Data Analytics, Sustainability, or Regulatory Compliance, preferably in packaging or consumer goods.
  • Skills:
    • Proven proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP, and/or other modeling tools.
    • Basic AI literacy and experience using AIpowered workplace tools.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    • Strong interest or knowledge in packaging sustainability and stewardship.
    • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
