The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist provides advanced technical leadership in safety, health, and environmental compliance across the facility. This role partners cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, IT, Finance, Facilities, and Manufacturing to strengthen the site safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

This position is expected to act as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead site-level EHS initiatives aligned with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site safety, health, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on OSHA, EPA, DOT, and internal compliance requirements
  • Proactively identify workplace hazards and lead corrective and preventive action strategies
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure to prevent recurrence
  • Conduct and oversee safety inspections, compliance audits, and environmental assessments
  • Drive employee engagement in safety culture initiatives and behavior-based safety programs
  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve instructor-led safety and environmental training programs
  • Create and maintain site-specific training materials, lesson plans, and technical documentation
  • Analyze and report safety performance metrics, trends, and leading/lagging indicators
  • Ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping for all EHS systems and regulatory requirements
  • Lead ergonomic assessments and drive implementation of risk reduction solutions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and environmental performance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Act as a key partner to leadership teams on strategic EHS initiatives and plant priorities
  • Ensure adherence to all Keurig Dr Pepper policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Total Rewards:
  • Targeted annual compensation range of $80,000–$95,000.
  • This is a salaried, exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, Environmental Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing compliance and safety programs
  • Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action processes
  • Strong instructional and facilitation skills with the ability to develop effective training programs and technical materials
  • Experience with ergonomic assessments and manufacturing risk reduction preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
