Job Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETLprocesses to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with ETL tools as noted below with strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work with large datasets.

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL automations using Informatica Cloud and Azure Data Factory
  • Develop and Maintain Datawarehouse objects like tables, views and security roles in MS Azure Data Warehouse and Snowflake.
  • Extract data from various sources, such as databases, flat files, and APIs, process and post it to required destination storage such as SQL database, Azure blob, Azure table storage, Azure Service Bus, Snowflake, FTP, API etc.
  • Transform and cleanse data to ensure data quality and integrity across the data platform.
  • Load data into the data warehouses, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design and develop data dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. 
  • Work closely with data architects, analysts, and developers to support data integration initiatives.
  • Implement data validation, data quality checks, and data security measures across all databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and ETL failures.
  • Implement best practices for data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL development.
  • Document ETL processes, data mappings, and configurations.
  • Strong expertise in writing SQL queries and SQL stored procedures.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with relational databases, ETL, and data warehouse required.
  • Advanced level knowledge of industry leading ETL tools such as Informatica and Azure Data Factory
  • Experience in designing and developing complex near real-time and/or batch data.
  • integration solutions using cloud based ETL and integration tools
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with loading and maintaining a data warehouse.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with five years of related experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least three years of related experience required.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced
