Can be primarily located at any of the following facility locations:  Columbus Ohio, Holland MI, Northlake IL, Ottumwa Iowa, Louisville KY, Houston, Irving Texas, Jacksonville, Miami FL, Sacramento CA, Vernon, CA.

The Engineering Program Manager will be theCan Filling and SeamingSubject Matter Expert (SME) of Technical, Maintenance and Reliability Excellence. They will be accountable for delivering core competency technical excellence and delivering top quartile performance in equipment reliability measured by safety, quality, customer fill rate, OEE2, unplanned and planned downtime and maintenance rate per case.

TheCan filling and Seaming SME of Technical, Maintenance and Reliability Excellence will create the KDP Cold Beverage Supply Chain Strategy to deliver top quartile technical team and equipment performance.

The job responsibilities will include development of our core competency skills development programin can filling and seaming that will result in a team of highly skilled subject matter experts in our manufacturing core competencies. This position is alsoresponsible forimproving safety of the maintenance teams, improving quality by eliminating the potential for failures leading to recalls or withdrawals, overhaul planning and execution, project management/execution, delivering net productivity, root cause problem solving, and operational readiness of new product, package and/or equipment introductions. This person is a key member of the Cold Beverage Supply Chain Operations team, bridging the gap between engineering and manufacturing technical teams and developing our internal expertise in core competencies. This position will report to the Senior Director of Technical, Maintenance and Reliability Excellence.

  • Drive Performance ImprovementInCan Filling and Seaming
  • Develop a team of rapid response technicians
  • Liaison between CAPEX and plant on new installs
  • Work with E&T Pillar owner to develop training for technical independence
  • Work with AM/PM Pillar owner to develop Platinum Level PMs, CIL, cleaning and OH schedules
  • Work with AM/PM Pillar to ensure annual audits are completed in a timely manner
  • Work with OEMs on pricing for parts – align with audits and OH for group/bulk pricing
  • Vertical ramp up of new equipment installs aligning with your SME category
  • Lead capital projects, executing with excellence and vertical ramp ups. 
  • Collaborate with corporate Supply Planning teamon network capacity plans in delivering critical equipment maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure Operations Model labor standards are being met for maintenance teams.
  • Lead and deliver maintenance and reliability related productivity projects.
  • Responsible for functional area network dashboards, and corrective actions to drive KPI improvement. Drives sustainable improvements to positively impact the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), Manage SRM Dashboards, and Scorecards relative to cost, productivity and on-time delivery by optimizing labor and production capabilities. 
  • Work with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to develop and execute improvement strategies for engagement, recruiting and retention across the network. 
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimizecases per maintenancelabor hour
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and bargaining agreementsrelated to maintenance department planning as it relates to KDP programs. 
  • Develops tools to acquiretrend and analyze efficient production output.
  • Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by KDP and the department.
  • Liaison with OEM’s on training curriculum to ensure Operational Readiness that supports vertical start-ups and sustainable OOE2
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range: $96,800 - $135,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements:
  • Experience and Expertise in Can Filling and Seaming required
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technical/Engineering discipline. Master’s degree in business or engineering management a plus
  • Project management certification a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of manufacturing and engineering
  • High degree of curiosity
  • Demonstrated management experience and performance improvement in equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence groups.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications 
  • Highly competent knowledge of SAP/CMMS transactional processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a broad variety of departments
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and focused attention to detail positively and comfortably.
  • Organizational and customer service skills essential
  • Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems.
  • Must be able to travel, work in a team environment, and occasionally work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to follow KDP policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to equipment and facilities maintenance.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Key Performance Indicators are; engagement, absenteeism, retention, recruiting, safety incidents, customer fill rate, cost per case, cases per labor hour, cases per maintenance labor hour, budget attainment, productivity
