Job Overview:

Production Technician II

The Production Technician II operates, monitors, troubleshoots, and helps maintain production and packaging equipment to maximize efficiency while upholding Keurig Dr Pepper’s high standards for safety and product quality. Responsibilities include equipment changeovers, preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture. Some domestic travel may be required during training.

Shift and Schedule
This is a full time position on 2nd shift, Monday - Friday from 1:00pm - 9:30pm and 3:15pm - 1:45am. Training schedule once you start could be Monday - Friday, from 9:30am - 5:30pm.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.


Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times
  • Understand and help drive improvement to quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Learn to safely operate and monitor multiple high-speed production equipment
  • Actively engage in resolving production line issues, executing and developing standard work, tracking production data, and participating in KDP’s lean daily management process
  • Actively learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members
  • Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas
  • Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair
  • Learn to safely operate and monitor multiple high-speed production equipment
  • Role will also cover forklift operation in the event of shortage
  • Ability to learn and run all equipment on a set line and perform operation at each location to assist with machine operator breaks on shift

Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly learn about how processing and packaging equipment works
  • Mechanical understanding or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve
  • Comfort with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn production software
  • Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations

Total Rewards:
  • Pay starting at $23.32 per hour

Requirements:

Ideal Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions
  • Comfortable spending significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with periodic computer work
