Shift & Schedule: This role supports the 1st shift team, working Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Flexibility for overtime and occasional Saturdays is required as needed.
The Document Control Specialist partners with Quality Management to implement, maintain, and monitor systems related to document control, food safety, and quality programs. This includes oversight of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation processes, standard work, continuous improvement initiatives, laboratory calibrations, weight control, and supplier/customer documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties with a safety-first mindset
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Coordinate and manage Food Safety and Quality System documentation in accordance with established document control procedures
- Maintain document files, logs, records, shared drives, and hard copy manuals to ensure accuracy and version control
- Manage HACCP/food safety records, including CCP documentation, deviation tracking, and corrective action follow-up
- Review incoming Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure supplier compliance; escalate deviations as needed
- Maintain organized COA documentation files
- Support calibration tracking and documentation for laboratory equipment used in product verification
- Review weight control data and provide monthly overfill cost analysis
- Assist in preparing Certificates of Analysis for finished products
- Ensure ingredient and recipe data is accurate and up to date within management systems
- Conduct GMP and VMS audits within the plant
- Develop, revise, and maintain quality forms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support training initiatives as needed
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned
Total Rewards:
- $20.19-$31.56 per hour
- This is a hourly, non-exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of document control experience
- Prior clerical or administrative support experience in document control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
