Transportation Supervisor

Location: 304 Century Center Boulevard, Irving, TX 75062

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday, 12:00pm-10pm (flexibility required)

Position Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing load planning and transportation service metrics for Common Carrier and In-House (Splash) Fleet operations across the Central Texas region. This role manages a territory with no fewer than 10,000 annual shipments and plays a key part in ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight (50%)

• Manage inbound, outbound, shuttle, and 3rd party freight movements.

• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations (driver files, safety meetings, DVIR, ELD audits).

• Collaborate with fleet team on equipment maintenance and readiness.

• Identify and implement backhaul strategies to improve revenue.

Stakeholder & Driver Management (20%)

• Maintain strong relationships with drivers, manufacturing, planning, unions, and 3PL providers.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

• Support and train on systems including SAP, Spireon, Peoplenet, Bluejay, and Ryder platforms.

Continuous Improvement (15%)

• Analyze and improve transportation cost and service KPIs.

• Benchmark fleet vs. carrier performance.

• Contribute to network optimization efforts.

Metrics & Reporting (15%)

• Monitor and report on cost-to-serve, on-time performance, carrier utilization, and broker usage.

• Develop performance scorecards and support ongoing improvement projects.

Compensation

• This is a salaried, exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, dispatching, or logistics (preferred)

• 3+ years of supervisory experience managing direct reports (required)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
