Shift & Schedule: Full-time | 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing transportation operations across the Northeast region, supporting both common carrier and in-house fleet activities. This role ensures efficient load planning, cost control, regulatory compliance, and high service performance while partnering closely with regional planners, 3PL providers, and internal stakeholders.
The position supports a territory of 10,000+ annual shipments primarily across Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Fleet Operations (70%)
Plan, assign, and manage transportation loads for in-house fleet and 3PL providers
Oversee backhaul and third-party revenue load management
Coordinate appointment scheduling and delivery information through customer platforms
Ensure compliance with DOT and DPSG regulations
Monitor service performance to maintain on-time delivery and operational consistency
Serve as SAP (TLB) Order Management backup
Cost & Service Metrics (20%)
Develop and maintain transportation cost and service scorecards
Track key metrics including cost-to-operate, on-time performance, carrier utilization, and broker usage
Support implementation of cost savings initiatives
Analyze transportation data and performance trends
Continuous Improvement (10%)
Support initiatives to improve financial and service performance
Assist in accurately tracking fleet operating costs by lane and origin/destination
Provide recommendations to optimize network efficiency and capacity utilization
Total Rewards:
- Starting pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of SAP experience
Minimum 5 years of transportation/logistics experience
Strong data and metrics analysis skills
DOT regulations and transportation industry experience required; 3PL operations background preferred.
